I don't have the 'new meeting' button.

I'm trying to record myself without scheduling an actual meeting. I'm told that I simply go to the home page after clicking the app, then click the 'new meeting' button. There is no such button there. Instead there's a button that says 'back to meeting' in addition to the other buttons (join, schedule, share screen).

Is the 'new meeting' button only available to paid users or is there some other reason I can't access it?

I guess that you should upgrade your Zoom client app version to the latest version. See, https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362233-Upgrading-Zoom-to-the-latest-version

Hi, I encountered this issue once, and i found the answer! Once you open zoom you will see a tab in the upper right hand corner that says “Web App” with an option to choose a drop down menu. Click on the arrow so the drop down menu pulls up (displays). Choose home from the drop down menu, and you will see where it says New Meeting with a drop down arrow, join, schedule. Hope that helps!!!
