I am looking for video recording for the meeting that was hosted by someone else

Hello Zoom Community,

I am not a paid customer. Apparently, I can not get technical support if I am not a paid customer. However, I need video recording and transcript for the meeting that was hosted by someone else (I was participant and not an organizer). What are my options to get in touch with Tech Support for this request?

Sorry for the delayed response.

Only the meeting host or co-host can access Zoom cloud recordings and transcripts. As a participant, you’ll need to contact the host to request the recording and confirm your access permissions. If the recording was saved locally, you can also ask them to share that file with you.

Zoom will not give you access to a recording that you did not host. You must work with the meeting host to have them give you access. That is the only option.

Host has given me the passcode. But there are no options to enter the passcode. How do I view the recording?

There are several ways to share Zoom cloud recordings.
1. Share a link and have recipients enter a passcode
→ Recipients access the recording via the URL and enter the passcode.
2. Share a URL link with the passcode embedded
→ Recipients can watch the recording using the URL without having to enter a passcode.
3. Sharing with specific users
→ Recipients can access the recording file via the “Shared with me” section of their Zoom Web Portal (https://zoom.us/recording/shared).

Please ask the host how they shared it.
