Hi, unfortunately, I just closed an important long meeting before I copied and saved the chat notes from the meeting. How can I find these archived meeting notes and retrieve them?
Hi everyone! I apologize for the delayed response and for not seeing this sooner.
Whether you can retrieve the meeting chat depends on the settings that were in place before the meeting was closed.
First, check if post-meeting chat was enabled. If Allow users to access meeting chats before and after the meeting was turned on for that meeting, the chat may still be available after the meeting has ended. Messages and shared files remain accessible in the meeting chat. If there were external or guest participants, they may need to be added to the dedicated chat before they can view the conversation history.
If that wasn't enabled, the next thing to check is whether Meeting Chat Auto-save was turned on for the host. When enabled, Zoom automatically saves the in-meeting chat, so there's no need to manually select Save chat. Keep in mind that this only works if the host was present during the meeting, and it does not apply to meetings started from the Zoom mobile app.
If neither post-meeting chat nor Auto-save was enabled before the meeting ended, Zoom unfortunately may not have an archived copy of the in-meeting chat available to recover.
