Question

How can I disable Escape key binding in Zoom?

When I press it, it shows the meeting controls while I am sharing my screen. I use the escape key a lot while coding and it is annoying that I have to re-hide the meeting controls every time I hit Escape because it messes with my workflow.

    I’ve managed to find a solution that works for me. The idea is to hide the "meeting controls" using a custom hotkey, rather than relying on Zoom’s built-in hiding feature. Instead of simply disappearing, the toolbar will slide off-screen to the right.
    This will likely only work on Windows 10 or 11.
    You will need to set your screen resolution in the `MonitorWidth` and `MonitorHeight` variables.

    - Install AutoHotkey (AHK).
    - Create a file—for example, name it "hide-zoom-panel.ahk".
    - Add the following code to the file:

    #Requires AutoHotkey v2.0
    MonitorWidth := 1920
    MonitorHeight := 1080

    changepos() {
    global MonitorWidth, MonitorHeight

    if WinExist("ahk_class ZPFloatToolbarClass") {
    WinGetPos(&X, &Y, &W, &H, "ahk_class ZPFloatToolbarClass")
    MiddleOfScreen := MonitorWidth / 2

    if (X < MiddleOfScreen) {
    WinMove(MonitorWidth + 100, 0, , , "ahk_class ZPFloatToolbarClass")
    } else {
    WinMove(-(W + 100), 0, , , "ahk_class ZPFloatToolbarClass")
    }
    }
    }

    ; Hotkey Alt + Z
    !z::changepos()

    - Run the "hide-zoom-panel.ahk" file.

    - You may also need to enable the following setting in Zoom: Settings -> Meetings & Webinars -> "Always show meeting controls" (set to ON).

    - Теперь во время демонстрации вы можете нажать CTRL + Z и окно скроется.

    Извините, предыдущий код не точный. К сожалению не могу редактировать свои сообщения.

    Вот улучшенная версия:

    #Requires AutoHotkey v2.0

    MonitorWidth := 1920
    MonitorHeight := 1080

    changepos() {
    global MonitorWidth

    if WinExist("ahk_class ZPFloatToolbarClass") {
    WinGetPos(&X, &Y, &W, &H, "ahk_class ZPFloatToolbarClass")
    MiddleOfScreen := MonitorWidth / 2

    if (X >= 0 && X < MonitorWidth) {
    if (X < MiddleOfScreen) {
    WinMove(-(W + 100), 0, , , "ahk_class ZPFloatToolbarClass")
    } else {
    WinMove(MonitorWidth + 100, 0, , , "ahk_class ZPFloatToolbarClass")
    }
    } else {
    NewX := MiddleOfScreen - (W / 2)
    WinMove(NewX, 0, , , "ahk_class ZPFloatToolbarClass")
    }
    }
    }

    !z::changepos()
