when setting up zoom calls I have it set to allow participants to join before host but people are then waiting for me to start the call.  What am I missing I don't want to have to start all calls.

    In some situations you can have Waiting Room and Join before host enabled.  When scheduling a meeting even if you have participants can join anytime, if that waiting room checkbox is check they will be joining a waiting room.  Double check your settings on your zoom portal.  Search for the words waiting and join and it makes it easy to locate.  Good luck.

    Thank you.  All of that is set up but people still get a message saying 'waiting for host to start meeting'.  All a bit strange.

    The behavior will depend on what the HOST has set, either at the user level, group level, or account level.  I would make sure waiting room setting is off across the board, it can be set in all three levels I mentioned.  Good luck.
