Totally understandable frustration, and unfortunately there isn't currently a way to turn off that "has raised their hand" pop-up notification itself. Zoom treats it as a host notification, and the only related control available is to turn off the sound that accompanies it, not the visual dialog box.

To mute just the chime or sound: during a meeting, go to Participants, then More, and uncheck "Play chat message and raise hand sound." That won't remove the pop-up, but it'll at least stop the audio alert.

For more context on the underlying limitation, the raise hand feature sits under the account or group-level Meeting Reactions (Nonverbal feedback) settings rather than having its own dedicated host control like webinars do, so there's no "disable raise hand only" toggle for meeting hosts today. Turning off Meeting Reactions entirely at the group level was tested as a workaround, but it does not actually remove the Raise Hand option from meetings, so that's not a viable fix either.

If this is something you'd like changed, raising a feature request is probably the best path forward, since this exact gap has already come up as a known limitation internally with no resolution yet.

Let me know if you'd like help drafting that feature request or want me to check back once there's an update on it.
