Google Calendar Plug-in Date Issues

When I use the plug-in to add a zoom meeting to a google calendar event the time always goes in as Jan 1, 2099. I have tried this on multiple browsers and different computers. There is no way to edit that date/time. If I edit it in the google app it does not update in the google calendar. I have a paid zoom subscription.

We are experiencing this issue on our end. People have logged in and out of the GSuite add on with no success.  We also have the Zoom Scheduler add on with many of those in our company. Does hitting the 'Make it a Zoom Meeting' act as the same as saving the meeting?

I am not sure if we have the same challenges but for me, every time I schedule a recurring meeting, the calendar (.ics) file will never have the correct start date. The last meeting date is always displayed as the start date. The only workaround was to edit the .ics file with the correct date and ensure the number of meeting recurrence is correct. After, I save the file and import/add to my calendar (mostly yahoo calendar but should be same google calendar). I finally add invitees from the yahoo calendar.

    Hope this helps

Same issue here, paid account. Mine throws out 31 December 1979. Super embarrassing with client's meeting. Have tried everything. My zoom is unusable at this point with Google Calendar. Unacceptable Zoom! And I don't see you answering anyone's requests, 'same issue' messages just keep piling up in this thread. Fix it!

Having the same issue here, also with a paid account. It was dec31, 1979, but recently has started appearing as 1980. Also causes friction/confusion with clients. I logged out and in of Zoom through the Google Workspace add-in. Let's see if that works.

Did it work? I am experiencing the same issue, 1 Jan 1980 is the date set to me

Hi folks, here's how I worked around this issue.

    First, a few particulars:

    • I'm using Firefox
    • I experienced this issue specifically for group meetings that used to belong to another organizer but now belong to me

Ok, so here's what didn't work:

    • Using the zoom meeting I inherited from the previous owner (pretty obvious).  After removing those other meetings, here's what I tried (to no avail):
    • Using the quick-add feature where you click on a calendar block and tap the "Add video conferencing" button
    • Using the full-page event editing interface and tapping the "Add video conferencing" button

    Here's what led to success:

    1. In Google Calendar, open one of the events that are affected.  Remove the existing videoconference for the event, then save the event.  Do this for all the events that are impacted
    2. Go to the Zoom web interface, then My Account.  Tap the "Previous" tab, then delete the meetings that were timestamped 1979/1980 (not sure this is needed but it felt tidy)
    3. Back in Google Calendar, open one of the events to which that you want to add a videoconference. Use the full-page editing interface.  Make sure this event has not yet started (I think this is necessary but not sure)
    4. Do not tap the "Add video conferencing" button.  Instead, tap the small "Zoom for Google Workspace" button.  Tap the "Add Meeting" button that appears in the right panel
    5. Save the meeting. This takes you back to the calendar view
    6. Tap the meeting you just saved.  In that same right-panel, you should see the real event name with a real timestamp, indicating that you have successfully added and synced the meeting 🙂

Im having this issue with a small group of people in my organization as well (except dates are 1979 and 1980). I am doing troubleshooting and have a theory that possibly a 3rd party integration is inadvertently causing an issue..

The users in my org with the issue are sales type teams and we're using some tools like gong.io, outreach.io, etc.  Im wondering if other folks in this forum are also sales or account management type jobs that are utilizing some of the same types of 3rd party apps?

I did a few things which seemed to work. I had the user logout of Zoom for G-Suite and the Zoom App on the desktop. Removed the Calendar Service in from the admin portal>User Management>*user profile>Other section>Calendar and Contacts Integration. Then had them login to everything again.
