Up to recently the feature of activating Full Transcript in a non-recorded meeting was available; however, currently it is locked by Admin. Is there any way to enable that feature? Thank you.

    Transcripts are not enabled by default in Zoomhosts or admins must turn them on. Hosts can manage transcripts during meetings, and participants may request transcript access.

     

    If “Full Transcript” shows as “Locked by Admin,” only your Zoom admin can change that setting. Full transcripts are also typically tied to cloud recordings, so a transcript usually won’t be generated unless the meeting is recorded.

     

    What you can do:

    • Contact your Zoom admin and ask them to review or unlock the transcript/recording settings for your account or group.
    • If your goal is a full transcript, ask whether they can allow recording + transcript for your meetings (or enable it for your user/group).

    If the Full Transcript option is now locked by an administrator, it usually means the setting has been disabled at the account or group level by your Zoom admin. Regular users typically cannot override admin-managed settings on their own.

    You may want to contact your Zoom administrator and ask whether the transcription feature was recently changed or restricted. If you're the account owner or admin, check the account settings to ensure that captions and transcription features are enabled for users and groups that need access.
