Hello, community.

Recently, I just recording a meeting without log in to zoom. (approved by the host, and it was recorded locally in my zoom.us app). However, I cannot find the recording file in my local device (Macbook)? I have tried to look into my Finder, but could not find the video file. Can any one tell me want happened? Or, is it necessary to log in to record meetings? but, why does it allow me to click on the option to record if I am not logged in? Thank you.

@HW0303 - on a Mac, your recordings should have been recorded to "/Users/[Username]/Documents/Zoom".

I have the same problem today, Jan 12, 2025. My Mac powered down while downloading an important recorded video to my local computer. Now, I can't find the recording on the list of Zoom Recordings. It is gone. I this a common practice with Zoom? As a precausion, I thought maybe I recorded on my other account, but "no", my recording did not show on the list. Can you offer any help.

@LocateULR - Zoom doesn't delete the cloud recordings unless the "delete after specified days" is selected, and even then you should be able to go to the deleted files and find it.  Without information on the specific recording, it would be impossible to know why you are not able to find it now.
