Features on participant side

Hello,

This is regarding break out rooms and interpreter feature. On the user side from staff at our company, running these features are easy. However, we struggle on the participant side as we have clients that are not tech savvy. Is there a way to move our clients into the interpreter channel without them having to do anything on their end? Same with break out room, have them transfer automatically back and forth without them having to do anything on their end? It would be great if the host or co-hosts can move participants without action required on their end.

A host can assign users to specific breakout rooms when scheduling the meeting. They can also assign users to a specific one from within the meeting. You can find more information here https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/206476313-Managing-Breakout-Rooms.

Thank you for your response. Our attendees join via link, they are not pre-assigned. We have set the break out rooms to "join automatically" but the client still has to click "join" when we are moving them from break out room back into the main session. I know its hard to believe but some clients do not know how to do that and it would be much easier if we could move them 100% independently without action on their part. Same goes for interpreter feature. They are unable to fix their audio to join that channel, not tech savvy at all.

For Breakout Rooms, you can check the Options menu to ensure the Automatically move all assigned participants into breakout rooms is checked.  That should help facilitate moving them to rooms.

As for the language interpretation feature, I am not aware of any way to automatically assign participants into a specific channel, but I encourage you to visit our Zoom Feedback form, which is the official way to share any feedback or feature requests with the Zoom team. Thanks!
