Feature Request: Personal Audio Comfort / Voice Filter

I’d love to see Zoom add a feature that allows users to privately adjust how another participant’s voice sounds to them.

Sometimes an incoming voice or microphone can sound very high-pitched, nasal, harsh, or otherwise difficult to listen to for long periods. Zoom could allow each listener to select a participant and use options such as:

• Reduce harshness/high frequencies
• Reduce nasal resonance or sibilance
• Add warmth
• Enhance speech clarity
• Simple “Listening Comfort” slider

The adjustment would affect only what the listener hears. The speaker’s actual voice would remain unchanged for everyone else.

There could also be an optional Entertainment Mode with fun voice styles such as Movie Narrator, Robot, Cartoon, Game Announcer, etc. This could add another level of engagement for remote learning and younger users, while allowing hosts or schools to disable it when needed.

I could see Personal Audio Comfort being useful for accessibility, sound sensitivity, listening fatigue, and long virtual meetings. I would personally pay for this feature.

Zoom has done a lot to improve how we sound to other people. I’d love more control over how other people sound to us.
