I've used my JBL External Speaker for my audio for the past two years without issues. For the past month, I can no longer do so. The speakers come up as an option. I can even see the volume increase and decrease when I touch the speaker buttons, but no Audio.I play music and movies on my laptop ... no issues.I try to use it in a Zoom Meeting,... NO AUDIO. Thoughts?

hi @Rsad

what model jbl speaker are you using?  Is the connection bluetooth or usb?

do your jbl speakers have the current firmware?  you can upgrade jbl firmware using jbl app.

Upgrading the software on your PartyBoost or Connect+ Speaker

what make, model, and operating system is on your laptop?

do you have the latest version of zoom workplace installed on your laptop?  For windows, the latest version is 6.3.11 (60501).

assuming you are using bluetooth, pair your speaker with your laptop.

select your jbl speaker on the zoom meeting audio settings.

Did my response answer your question? If so, please don't forget to mark the reply as an accepted solution.

thanks,  eliot

Thanks Eliot. I do have the most current software. This is proving frustrating, as I can see (and select) my speaker. In fact, on goto.com and other similar products, there is no issue with the audio. It's ONLY when I use Zoom. Something in the upgrade or possibly something that I must do on my computer is blocking the audio. The camera and microphone are OK. Just my JBL speaker and laptop's internal speaker. I have been relegated to calling on via cellphone (and then using my Bose headset to conduct my meetings)

That’s a strange issue, since the speaker responds but doesn’t output sound in Zoom, it might be an app-specific audio routing or permission glitch rather than hardware, kind of like how niche setups like exotic mammal relocation services india require precise configuration to function properly. You might want to double-check Zoom’s audio output settings and system defaults to ensure everything is aligned.
