Question

External Camera not working on Zoom

So I have a 2025 MacBook Pro running iOS Tahoe 26.7.1 and have a Newline Neweye 60 Webcam. I recently upgraded from a 2017 MacBook Pro that was running only iOS 10.
My camera worked fine on my previous MacBook, but it won't work on the new one. Zoom recognizes the camera, but when I select it, it goes black for a moment and then switches back to my laptop's internal camera. I’ve updated Zoom, and I’m not sure how to update the driver.
I was hoping someone could help me out or give me some things to look for.

hi @Dirty_Martini

i suggest contacting Contact – N newline to get the latest Neweye 60 Webcam driver for MacBook Pro iOS 26.7.1.

Newline Webpage says Wide system compatibility: Windows 7/8/10/11 or later, MacOS 10.10 or later, Linux, Android, etc.

N newline 4k Webcam NewEye 60

HI @Dirty_Martini

i talked to terence at newline.

Depending on the exact model you have, there are compatibility issues with the later versions of MacOS.  there is no separate driver.

There is a possibility of a free upgrade to the current Neweye 62.  please send an email to support@newlinework.com with picture of your Neweye 60 Webcam showing model number, and if purchased from amazon, the order number otherwise proof of ownership such as an invoice.  terence says newlinework will respond in 24 hours.

hope this helps.

thanks,  eliot
