Disabling Transcription and Recording in Zoom Meetings

Hello,

I am currently experiencing issues related to transcription during Zoom meetings and would like to ensure that no transcription or recording takes place at any time.

While I have already disabled cloud recording on my account, I am concerned that participants joining the meeting may still have the ability to record or transcribe sessions independently. Since attendees can join without being tied to a centralized account, I do not have direct control over their individual settings.

Could you please advise on how to fully disable transcription features for all participants in a Zoom meeting? Additionally, I would like to understand what measures can be implemented to ensure that no attendee is able to record or transcribe the session, regardless of their personal settings.

Thank you for your assistance.

Kind regards,

    Hi @tod dot,

Thank you for your post. To disable transcription in Zoom meetings, the host can stop My notes transcription for individual participants or all participants through the Participants panel or Transcription controls. The host must join the meeting to disable transcription initiated by participants. To stop transcription, the host can click "Stop transcription" or decline a request to stop. Note that stopping transcription will also halt all in-meeting features that utilize transcription.

To disable automatic recording, sign in to the Zoom web portal, navigate to Settings, and click the Recording tab. Toggle off the Automatic recording option. This change will apply to new meetings and webinars. For existing meetings, edit the meeting settings to disable automatic recording. If the option is grayed out, it may be locked at the group or account level, requiring contact with a Zoom admin.
