Could running a VPN make Zoom think you are sharing your login credentials with other person?

Sometimes, I use a VPN when I use Zoom. This VPN chooses a server in another country. However, I don't use the VPN at all times.

This means that sometimes I use my login credentials while being in my country and other times in another country.

Could this make Zoom think I am breaking the license terms of point "1.2 Prohibition on Sharing"? Because I think it may feel like I have connected from different places, with two different IPs. I know people can travel, and you are in the same situation, but sometimes I forget to activate the VPN, and I connect to Zoom just 5 minutes after I realise I didn't activate the VPN. When I activate it, I am suddenly in another country in 5 minutes. I guess Zoom can differentiate one situation from another, but I want to avoid surprises.

Hi @Juan_Cruz, thank you for posting to the Zoom Community!

As long as your usage patterns remain consistent with personal use, enabling a VPN after logging in shouldn't pose a problem. Our system assesses various factors to identify potential sharing, rather than relying solely on VPN usage or IP changes.

Thanks!

I have been using the same Zoom meeting link for a few years for a weekly meeting. I recently purchased a VPN. Suddenly the Log in procedure has changed. It asks me to “sign in” when Im already signed in. And it asks me to sign in with my email...I did and it says that my email isnt valid. After complaining on the AI chat helper over and over. It suddenly logged me in like normal. But then I got a ton of emails from zoom that says, someone has logged into my account. I turned my VPN off Originally when I thought that the VPN might be causing trouble. But even after turning it off….it still wouldnt let me login...After going on the AI helper chat thingy….it suddenly logged me in. Any suggestions or advice besides, turn off VPN before starting my meeting?
