Cloud storage

I just recorded a test meeting and saved it in the cloud.

Can someone please tell me where I access the cloud?

It's not obvious as when I record to my laptop, a separate window opens showing the recordings.

Thanks,

David

Hello @BlueSkySEO ,

you need to log-into your account on the website. In the section "Personal" you should then see the menu item "Recording&Transcripts".

Hi! I have the same issue, the session was recorded, when I go to recording and transcripts, the message reads: No results found matching your search. Thanks if anyone knows where I can source the recording!

Hi David,

If you've recorded a meeting and saved it to the cloud, here's how you can access it depending on the platform you're using (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.). I'll assume Zoom, as it's a common platform, but let me know if you're using something different.

Accessing Your Cloud Recording on Zoom

  1. Log into Your Zoom Account:

  2. Navigate to the Recordings Tab:

    • In the left-hand menu, click "Recordings".
    • You’ll see two tabs: Cloud Recordings and Local Recordings.
    • Select Cloud Recordings to view your saved files.
  3. Find Your Recording:

    • Locate your meeting by date and title.
• Click on the recording to access playback, download, or sharing options.
  4. Share or Download:

    • Use the provided link to share or download the recording to your device if needed.

If You're Using Microsoft Teams

  1. Go to Teams' Cloud Storage:

    • Open Teams and go to the "Files" tab.
    • Look for the recording in "OneDrive" or "SharePoint", as Teams stores cloud recordings there.
  2. Find the Meeting Recording:

    • Search for the recording under the "Recordings" folder.

If You're Using Another Platform

Please specify which platform you're using (e.g., Webex, Google Meet), and I can provide tailored instructions.

If you're still having trouble, feel free to reach out with more details about your setup!

Best,

Be sure to check your storage capacity because Zoom will start charging you egregious amounts if you go 1KB over the limit. My plan cost DOUBLED one month as soon as I went over my limit. They have acknowledged to me that they have made it IMPOSSIBLE to delete multiple recordings at the same time, so you have to go through one by one to delete them. Good luck finding where to find your current storage amount. It’s buried deep in their directories. I doubt they will even publish this to the Zoom Community forum.

Thanks for sharing your experience. It sounds like that was a frustrating situation.

It's definitely a good idea for Zoom users to keep an eye on their cloud storage usage, especially if they record meetings frequently. Regularly reviewing and deleting recordings that are no longer needed can help avoid running out of space or unexpected charges.

Hopefully, Zoom continues to improve storage management and makes it easier to view usage and manage multiple recordings at once.

Hi David,

You can access your cloud recordings by signing in to your Zoom account on the web and going to Recordings & Transcripts (or Recordings) from the left-hand menu. Your cloud recordings should appear there once Zoom has finished processing them.

If you don't see the recording yet, give it a little time, as cloud recordings can take a while to process depending on their length.

Also, make sure you're signed in with the same Zoom account that hosted the meeting, as cloud recordings are linked to the host's account.

Hope that helps!
