Cloud recording shows in My Recordings but cannot be viewed or downloaded

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone here has run into this particular Zoom cloud-recording issue.

I have a recording that was transferred from one Zoom account/user to another. After the transfer, the recording appears in the new account under My Recordings and shows:

  • Recording 1
  • 16 files
  • 3.66 GB
  • 03:31:31 duration

I’ve attached a screenshot of what I see. The recording clearly appears to exist in the account, although some of the labels/details in the interface are oddly missing.

The problem is that I cannot actually access the recording.

When I click the recording/playback link, I get:

“This recording does not exist. (3,301)”

When I try to download it, I get:

“Cloud Recording plan expired (200)”

There is another interesting detail: the behavior differs depending on which account is signed in.

  • As the new account/admin:
“Unable to view this recording because the signed-in account is not the host.”
  • As the original host:
“This recording does not exist. (3,301)” / “Cloud Recording plan expired (200).”

The original recording download URL also returns the Cloud Recording plan expired (200) message, while the share link ultimately redirects to a Zoom componentName=play-forbidden page.

So it seems the recording itself is still present in the recording inventory, but something is wrong with the ability to actually retrieve/play the underlying recording after the transfer.

Has anyone encountered this before, particularly after transferring cloud recordings between users/accounts? Is there a way to repair/re-associate the recording so that it can be viewed or downloaded again?

I’m trying to recover the recording rather than recreate anything, so I’d especially appreciate any advice from someone who has dealt with Zoom Support on a similar case.
