Clearer Mute/Hot Mic indication

How much time is wasted around the world with the phrase “You are on mute”?

How many jobs have been lost by a “hot mic” that someone wasn’t aware of?

Both of these are related to the mute function not being particularly visible.

I wish there was a MUCH more visible way to indicate that you are on mute - maybe the color of the frame changes? or a light pattern/watermark shows up over your video?

Note - red and green would not work as colors (unless a pattern was also included) due to accessibility for colorblind folks.

When you're focused on a meeting, it's easy to overlook whether you're muted. A more noticeable visual indicator could make that status much clearer and help prevent those moments.
