Cannot use contacts as attendees when scheduling a meeting?

Hello! I recently began to use zoom to schedule meetings regularly, but I have noticed that when typing in the 'attendee' field to schedule a meeting, there's no option to just choose from my actual contacts list or autofill. Given how often we hold the meetings and the amount of people, it's a bit tedious to copy/paste each individual email address.

Given how common a feature autofilling contacts is, how do I do this on my Zoom account?

I already have contacts saved in my personal contacts list, but that doesn't seem to do anything.

Hi everyone, I apologize for the delay in response.

Currently, if you are scheduling via the Zoom app, when beginning to type the email address under the Attendees block it should auto-populate the email if the contact is under Contacts in your Zoom app. If this is not the case, can you please try uninstalling Zoom, restarting your device, and then reinstalling to the latest version?

Uninstalling and reinstalling the Zoom application

I tested this on my end and was able to see it auto-populate. Please let me know how it goes!

It is absolutely insane to me that this is even an issue with Zoom.  Such a basic 101 level feature that is missing (or not functioning correctly).  I don't understand how Zoom has gotten so much adoption when the UI for scheduling google meetings is so much better.

Has anyone actually gotten it to work by reinstalling? I highly doubt that would have any impact.

I did reinstall zoom, but it did not fix the problem

This is still not working for me.  I have tried in the web browser, on my phone app and my laptop app.  I've even added regular contacts to Zoom Personal Contacts.  There is no auto-population of the invitees field.  This needs to be addressed.  I regularly invite the same people to meetings.

The workaround is to copy the invite to your clipboard and paste in into an email sent to all the attendees.

To: Zoom it may concern,

I am having the same problem with contacts not auto populating.  The frustrating thing is that it used to work but since the update it does not work any more.  We already pay for an account, and you want us to buy an additional application to perform this task.  I agree, this is a basic feature that was taken away and should be provided with the initial account.  Very disgusted with Zoom

this is my problem too and this is a a big problem, very very inefficient. To be honest i am wondering why I am paying for Zoom ?  Google Meet does this for free. I have given up on getting this reolved .

I agree 100%. I can't get any support from Zoom.

I think Zoom is on its way to the outdated dead software pile, joining Skype, Yellow Pages & AltaVista

Don't understand the point of the zoom contacts if it does not sync with attendees.  What is the thinking here?

yeah I am in the same boat, i dont understand why something so simple in Google can't happen here

Looks like there is no answer to this. Unbelievable. Incredibly cumbersome to have to enter the same email every week for my students and have to type in every single letter. I searched online and found this community. And then I came onto Zoom's site to search for better answers or to speak with someone. And this is the best there is: a response from Zoom 6 months later -- and that response has multiple comments saying it doesn't work.

mate i feel the same way, don't worry, they are keen to give you a special badge to say that you're contributing to the community that seems to be pretty important to them

Yeah, that's lovely. I just saw those in my email -- a badge for being a member and then another one calling me "chatty" for my first comment. Like a lollipop from the bank when I was a kid. Cute if I was in the mood for cute and didn't have anything else to do.

My current workaround. Google: "video conference alternatives to Zoom"
