Cannot login due to no email on computer

There are two of us in two different countries who need full access to our Zoom meetings Pro account. But when we get a security request for a code, we are unable to comply due to security code being sent by email when we have a different email or no email client on the Zoom computer. What is the solution to this problem?

You must have access to the accounts email address. Email can be read on any device. The verification code can then be typed on the Zoom device.

Email can indeed be read on any device, but I need to store email locally, for reliability and backup. So if I read email using two devices, I get two sets of mailboxes, uncoordinated with each other. The resulting chaos is not worth the trouble of dealing with the security requirement of just Zoom, one of many apps that I use. And just imagine if all my apps had similar rigid requirements. Chaos.

Hello,

Sharing an account is against Zoom’s terms of service that you agreed to when you signed up.

The one time passcode that you are describing was created for the exact reason you are trying to circumvent.

The solution is to pay for a Zoom account for both people and then use the Zoom scheduling privilege tool.

Regards

If email access isn’t available on the Zoom computer, consider setting up an authenticator app or updating your security settings so both authorized users can verify access more easily. Similar access-management challenges are often discussed in areas like debt consolidation lead generation, where secure multi-user account access is important.

The simplest solution is usually not to have two people regularly sharing the same Zoom account. Zoom's security system is designed to verify new sign-ins, especially when they're coming from different countries or devices, so email verification requests are expected.

If both people need ongoing access, consider adding a second licensed user to the Zoom account instead of sharing one set of credentials. Each person would then have their own login and email address, avoiding the repeated verification challenges.

If sharing the account is unavoidable, the person who owns the account will need reliable access to the registered email inbox so they can retrieve the verification codes whenever Zoom requests them. Accessing that email through a web browser rather than a desktop email client can help if the Zoom computer doesn't have an email application installed.

You may also want to review the account's security settings and see whether alternative authentication methods, such as an authenticator app, are available for your account type.

In general, separate user accounts are the most reliable and secure approach when multiple people in different locations need regular access.
