Can't connect to ipad

I am not able to share my screen from an iPad or iPhone any longer. When I try using a USB cord, connect to the wifi, tap screen mirror and then the name... I get the message "unable to connect".  I'd appreciate any help

    Try system preferences—sharing—turn off AirPlay Receiver. Then try to share your ipad or iphone screen using airplay

    Please help🙏

    I'm afraid i' m not at the right place  but i can't sign in  anymore on my Ipad , while my 2 android devices are ok with signing in and i had no issue with my ipad till end of january or beginning of february 2022
