Can a single Licensed User host multiple concurrent meetings using different Alternative Hosts?

Hello,

I have a question regarding the limitations of concurrent meetings when using Alternative Hosts within the same account (organization).

Our Current Setup:

  • Scheduler: One dedicated "Admin" account (Licensed User).

  • Meetings: Multiple online training sessions scheduled at the same time.

  • Hosts: Each session is assigned a different instructor (each is a Licensed User in the same organization) as an "Alternative Host."

My Question:
With the setup above, is it possible for these instructors to start and run their respective meetings simultaneously?

Since the "Admin" account is the original host (owner) for all these sessions, I am concerned about the Zoom limitation that prevents a single user from hosting multiple meetings at the same time. Does this limitation still apply even if different Alternative Hosts are the ones actually starting and conducting the meetings?

I would appreciate any insights or official documentation on this. Thank you!

    Hi @EE Sekiguchi

    NO is the simple answer.
AN account holder can not be in more than one meetings or event at a time.
An account can not be in more than one meeting at a time

So, if you use Alt host, you are limited to one meeting.
The only exception is that you can be in a meeting twice with two devices.

So, you could be in a meeting twice, and then be in two breakout rooms at the same time by using the two accounts.
That is the only excweption. (I have been in the same meeting 3 times, I am not sure zoom would want you to use more than 2)

Being ALT host is not a way around this limit. Becuase you are just joining or starting the meeitng on behalf of the main user.

WARNING: Zoom can give a permanant ban if you break licence rules and this can mean a ban for you and any deivce you used. (yes they can ban a deivce from ever using zoom again!)

    Hope that makes sense

    Hi John,

Thank you so much for the clear and definitive answer.

I now perfectly understand that using an Alternative Host does not bypass the "one meeting at a time" limitation for the account holder. I especially appreciate the serious warning regarding the potential device-level ban for license rule violations—that is crucial information we needed to know to avoid any risks.

Based on your advice, we will reconsider our workflow, likely using "Scheduling Privilege" to ensure each instructor hosts the meeting under their own license.

Thank you again for your time and expertise!

    Best regards,
