Bug: "Claim Host" button — password dialog does not appear in Zoom 7.0.0 on macOS Tahoe 26.3.1 (Apple Silicon)

Hello,

I would like to report a regression introduced in Zoom Workplace 7.0.0 (build 77593) on macOS Tahoe 26.3.1, Apple Silicon.

Behavior observed
When clicking the "Claim Host" button (bottom right of the Participants panel), the button flashes briefly but the password entry dialog never appears. It is impossible to claim the host role from the desktop client.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Join a meeting as a participant (not the original host)
  2. Open the Participants panel
  3. Click "Claim Host" (bottom right)
  4. Expected: a dialog prompts for the 6-digit host key
  5. Actual: the button flashes, no dialog appears

Environment

  • Zoom Workplace: 7.0.0 (build 77593)
  • macOS: Tahoe 26.3.1 (build 25D771280a)
  • Hardware: Apple Silicon Mac

Confirmed workaround
Downgrading to Zoom Workplace 6.7.7 (build 76486) resolves the issue immediately — the host key dialog appears as expected.

Additional context
The feature works correctly via the Zoom web client on the same machine and account, which isolates the issue to the desktop client version 7.0.0.

I have temporarily downgraded to 6.7.7 with auto-update disabled. Please advise when a fix is available in a 7.x release.
