Zoom shows a bright border around my screen when using.  How do I turn off this border?

    Welcome to the Zoom Community!

I just have a few follow-up questions to clarify what's happening:

    • Could you tell me a bit more about when that border shows up?
    • Do you have a sample screenshot of this border?
    • Is the border getting in the way of specific buttons or tools you need to see, or is it just a bit distracting while you're presenting?
    • Does the border stay there the whole time, or does it only pop up when you're sharing a specific window or a portion of your screen?
    • Are you noticing any lag or performance issues when that border is visible, or are you just looking for a cleaner, more minimal look on your display?
    • Just to make sure I’m looking at the right setting for you—does the border change color at any point, or is it always that solid bright green?

    Looking forward to your response.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply!

I found the reason for the white border, and it had in fact nothing to do with Zoom.  It’s a new “feature” in MacOS that I thankfully found a way to turn off.

I do apologize for taking up your time.

No worries. I'm glad you were able to track down the culprit. those new OS "features" can definitely catch us off guard when they show up out of nowhere. If anything else pops up with your Zoom setup, feel free to reach out.
