Blackwire 3310 - Windows 11 Zoom cannot use the microphone

Hi Support, I find my USB headset has voice problem in Zooom Workspace, means the meeting member cannot listen my voice on the microphone. However, using teams / other apps has no such problem.
Product: Blackwire 3310
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I am using Windows 11 Edition Windows 11 Pro Version 24H2

hi @SimonCheng ,

i did not see poly blackwire 3310 on zoom's certified device list, but i may work.  i have a 3325 which works well.

Zoom Workspace Certified Hardware

try updating the blackware 3310 with poly lens.

plug your 3310 into a usb port on your windows pc.

download and install poly lens on your windows pc.

Poly Lens

connect the 3310 to your windows pc and update its firmware.

then try your 3310 on zoom meetings.

you should be able to select your 3310 as the speaker and the microphone.

Hello Eliot,

I have already tried your solution, but it did not fix the issue. I updated the software on my Blackwire 3310 to version 1.116673.2050, but the problem persists. I have also selected both the speaker and microphone options for the 3310 when using Zoom, but it is still not working.

One more critical point: I have tried two sets of 3310 devices on two different laptops with the same configuration, and the problem remains consistent. Therefore, I am wondering if there are any devices that are not supported by this Poly devices.

Thanks. Simon

hi @SimonChen

sorry you are having this issue.

i also have a 3320 which works with zoom meetings using the same firmware.

i can not think of any other solution since you have tried two laptops and two 3310.

you might try opening a support ticket with both zoom and hp/poly.

thanks,  eliot

hi @SimonCheng

hp poly says the blackwire 3300 series is certified for both ms teams and zoom.  hp poly has both ms teams versions and standard versions.  the ms teams version has the teams logo and the standard version (not ms teams) has a handset icon.

is it possible that you have the ms teams version?

Thanks Elliot,

Yes, I am using the Microsoft Teams version, but it should not affect the use of the headset on Zoom, as I have used it on a Windows 10 laptop where it works normally on both Teams and Zoom. However, when my organization changed it to a Windows 11 ThinkPad laptop, it started to fail on Zoom and is not working.

hi @SimonCheng

i have a blackwire 3320 with teams logo.  works fine for zoom meetings.  i just tried it with zoom workplace client 6.3.11 running on my ideapad 5 with win 11 pro 24h2 and up-to-date lenovo firmware and driver updates.  the headset also works fine for meetings on my lenovo ideacentre mini 011rh8.

i am stumped.

thanks,  eliot
