Been looking at all the suggestions but audio does not play on new laptop with zoom

Hi, I have a 3 month old ASUS 15 OLED X1505ZA laptop. Good Spec. No problems with speakers when using Youtube. But the laptop speakers or any other speakers simply won't work with Zoom. Doing Test Speaker doesn't work, it maybe plays for 0.5 second before cutting out or may play but incredibly quiet. I have checked volume levels. I even went to see if some new drivers would work for audio components, makes no difference.

I work in tech so am not computer illiterate, but I am baffled by this.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I've tried the following suggestions but with no luck.


Update drivers: Go to Device Manager → Sound, video and game controllers → Right-click your audio device → Update driver.

Check Zoom audio settings: In Zoom, go to Settings → Audio → Speaker/Microphone, and test each device. Disable “Automatically adjust microphone volume.”

Set default audio device: Right-click the speaker icon → Sound settings → Output/Input, and set your main device as default.

Disable audio enhancements: Right-click your device → Properties → Enhancements → Disable all enhancements.

Reinstall Zoom: Fully uninstall Zoom, then reinstall the latest version.

Windows update check: Settings → Windows Update → Check for updates, sometimes audio fixes are included.

As an audio and broadcast engineer I can tell you that computer audio can be very complicated.

To resolve the no-audio issue in Zoom on your ASUS 15 OLED, start by

checking the Volume Mixer in Windows settings to ensure the Zoom application is unmuted. If that doesn't work, disable the "AI Noise-Canceling Speaker" feature within the MyASUS app under the Audio & Visual settings. If the problem continues, update your audio drivers in Device Manager, verify your default audio device in Windows sound settings, and test different audio devices in Zoom's own settings. 

 
1. Check the Windows Volume Mixer 
 

 

  • Right-click the speaker icon in the system tray (bottom-right of your screen).
  • Select Open Volume Mixer.

     

     

    • Find the Zoom Meeting application and ensure its volume slider is not muted or set too low

      2. Disable AI Noise-Canceling Speaker in MyASUS 

       
      1. Open the MyASUS application on your laptop.
      2. Navigate to Device Settings.
      3. Go to the Audio & Visual tab.
      4. Scroll down and turn off the AI Noise-Canceling Speaker option. 
        3. Verify Zoom and Windows Audio Settings 
         
        1. In Zoom: Open the Zoom desktop client, go to Settings (the gear icon), then Audio.
        2. Under Speaker, select your desired audio output device and use the Test Speaker button.
        3. In Windows: Right-click the speaker icon, select Sound settings, and make sure your laptop's speakers are set as the default output device. 

           

          If this works please click accept as a solution.

It was the MyAsus ai software, which takes it upon itself to knock out zoom audio. Thanks for the solution.
