Bad sound distortion and feedback issues when screen sharing from MacBook

Im having a nightmare with sound feedback and distortion every time I try to share a video with my meeting participants. I use a MacBook. Ive installed the latest operating system and uninstalled and reinstalled Zoom. There is NO way to get through to a help centre at Zoom and no way to send them a report. This is having a really bad effect on my work .. I will have to change platforms if I cant find a solution. And I pay a monthly fee for this!

Ive been using Zoom for two years and this problem has only just surfaced. Can anyone help? Given that Zoom do not provide this service. ... which we are paying for ....

    I am not a Macbook user, but have heard of this problem when updating on a MAcbook Air........ and the solution was to:

     

    1. restart the MacBook

    2. Bootup in safe mode and see if the problems exists

    3. use a different browser...apparently Safari causes the issue.......

    4. Finally reinstall the operating system.

     

    From what I have heard, the issue is a Mac issue more than a zoom issue.
