Audio – Unable to Hear Music in Shared Videos

Hello, my Zoom is having an issue. When I watch a video shared through Zoom (the video has both voice and music), I can only hear the voice in the video, but not the music.
I’ve tried using a different headset, but it still doesn’t work.
When I play the video directly on my computer, I can hear it normally.
The issue only occurs when I play it on Zoom or when someone shares it with me on Zoom.
The same issue happens on my phone as well."
Thank you

Hello @Jackey,

Welcome to the Zoom Community! We're glad to have you here!

To hear music in shared videos during a Zoom meeting, ensure that you are sharing the video with sound. When sharing a recorded video, use Zoom's built-in video player for optimal audio quality. If you are sharing a video from a website, make sure to select the option to optimize for video sharing. Additionally, check that you have enabled the "Share Computer Sound" option when sharing your screen. If you are still experiencing issues, verify your audio settings and ensure that your device's audio is not muted.

Hi, we're having the same issue, and your reply didn't really address the issue as it was more for the sharer than the receiver.

I am a part of manny users whare we use a 3part player due to a second screen.
we can’t use the embedded player due to ve need to share fror the live meeting. The sound when having music in videos is almost killed. This is a big issue for manny people please make an option to bypass the filter that kills the music.
