Audio does not work

I use an iMac. When I join a meeting, I cannot get audio into the room. I can hear the other person, but he/she cannot hear me. I have tested the microphone numerous times but it only worked once then stopped working immediately.  None of the mike settings work (there are three options but none of them work). Can someone please tell me what is causing this problem and what I need to do to fix it?

    Also, when I tried to fix permissions, under Privacy there was no camera, microphone or speakers listed on the left. So that didn't work!

    I am also facing the same issue while I was doing meeting with my client and we were discussing about a website. I also tried a lot to did contact with support of zoom but they were not responding at that time. After some time I just restart the zoom and everything was fine.
