I can't find in the FAQ that how I can assign a co-host BEFORE the meeting.  I'd appreciate if someone can tell me I could do this.  There is a set-up in the template but I got a response that I cannot do that for some reason. THX

Hi @RichardKCLing

Zoom currently doesn't allow pre-assigning co-hosts during the meeting scheduling process.

Although templates have an 'Alternative Hosts' section, it doesn't grant co-host privileges. However, once the meeting is active, you can easily elevate a participant to co-host status.

Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!
Warm regards

@RichardKCLing Hi Richard, there used to be an option to choose an alternative (internal) host when crsting a meeting via advanced settings (either in IOS APP or Desktop APP). This functionality and option seems to have disappeared and the only way we can now do this is via signing into the web browser Zoom account via Meetings. Very inconvenient.

Have you had the same issue? Is there a more easier way of doing this via the IOS App or Desktop App?

This is HUGELY frustrating.  I have the account for a large volunteer organization and because of a severe illness in the family, I cannot attend the meeting ....and someone is to be taking my place.  I don't understand WHY on earth you cannot enable this function (my organization's supervisors frown on sharing account access & passwords)  I would appreciate you considering making designating a co-host in advance of meetings an option.  And at the least providing a very good reason why this is something you all to NOT provide as an option.
