Annotation broken for screen shared from Wayland Linux

There are at least two issues when annotating a window screen-shared by a Wayland (Linux) user.

Steps to reproduce the issues:

  1. A Linux user shares a window (NOT the full screen) on Wayland.
  2. Another user annotates on the shared window.

Issues:

  1. The annotation is not aligned with the shared window, but is wrongly aligned to the entire screen for the Linux user.
  2. The annotation disappears after a few seconds on the annotator's screen, but remains on the Linux user's screen

Expected behaviour:

  1. The annotation is aligned on all users' screens.
  2. The annotation remains on all users' screens until cleared.

I am experiencing both of these bugs as well. Also, it happens when using zoom via Xorg too, so it doesn't seem wayland specific. I'm using Fedora 36 with Gnome.

It doesn't work for me, either. I haven't seen any annotations come up at all when I shared a window. It is very frustrating when trying to collaborate with coworkers.

Debian unstable/sid

GNOME 43.0

I also have this bug. Please update Linux client to use Wayland libraries when available. Linux IS moving to the Wayland compositor.
