Annotating a screen shared to breakout rooms

I would like to share my screen to different breakout rooms, and then get participants to annotate the screen, basically filling out a worksheet that i am sharing. 

If i share in the main room this is no problem, but for some reason when i use the new share to breakout rooms function, the participants do not have the option to annotate. 

I could send the file to them so one person can share and then annotate, but one of the main benefits of sharing to breakout rooms is that you no longer have to do send breakout instructions separately. 

Any help would be appreciated.
