    Hi @GP-CY,

Thank you for joining the community!

To add (“create”) Alternative Hosts for a Zoom Meeting:

    1. In the Zoom web portal, go to Meetings and open the meeting you want to edit.
    2. Click Edit.
    3. Find Alternative Hosts and enter the person’s email address (you can add multiple, separated by commas).
    4. Click Save.

    Key requirements:

    • The alternative host must be a user on the same Zoom account.
    • They must have a licensed Zoom Meetings entitlement (otherwise Zoom may not accept them as an alternative host).

Please feel free to reach out anytime if you have any other Zoom-related inquiries.

That means I have to pay for another user to be appointed as Alternative Hosts?

    Hi @GP-CY,

Yes, it is required for the alternative host to be a licensed (paid) user, and they must be on the same Zoom account and signed in to that account when starting the meeting.

So if the person you want as an alternative host is currently a Basic (free) user or not on your account, you’d need to add them to your account and assign them a license before you can designate them as an alternative host.
