Hi Valerie,
This is a frustrating one because the setting exists but the option just vanishes from the UI — here's a thorough checklist to track down exactly why:
Verify Zoom Client Version
All Screen Mode requires Zoom 6.0 or higher.
- Click your profile picture in Zoom → Check for Updates
- If you're behind on updates, this alone could be the cause — update and retest
Check the Zoom Web Portal Settings (Not Just the App)
Many of these settings are controlled at the account/admin level in the web portal, not the desktop app:
Go to zoom.us/profile/setting → Meeting → In Meeting (Basic):
- Screen sharing — must be ON
- Who can share? — set to "Host and Participants" (or at minimum "Host")
- Participants Sharing Simultaneously — set to "Multiple participants can share simultaneously"
- All Screens Mode — if this toggle exists in your plan, make sure it's enabled
If your account is managed by an organization/admin, these settings may be locked and greyed out. Your IT admin would need to enable them at the account level.
Make Sure "Disable Desktop Screen Sharing" is OFF
This is a sneaky one — it's easy to miss:
- In the same web portal settings page, search for "Disable desktop/screen share for meetings you host"
- Make sure this is turned OFF — if it's ON, advanced share options including All Screens will disappear from the in-meeting menu
Check In-Meeting Advanced Sharing Options
Even with everything enabled, you need to activate it during the meeting:
- In a live meeting, click the ^ arrow next to the Share Screen button
- Select "Advanced Sharing Options"
- Set "How many participants can share at the same time?" to Multiple
- Then click Share Screen again — All Screens should now appear as an option
Check Your Zoom Plan
All Screen Mode / multi-share features may be restricted by plan type. If you're on a Basic (free) plan or a lower-tier license, some advanced sharing features aren't available. Worth checking at zoom.us/account to confirm your plan includes it.
