Admin rights to my account - I am the owner

My account is a single user account (Zoom Workplace Pro) and I am locked out by Admin to change settings but I am the owner and should be able to change settings.

The live chat was not able to help me even though I changed browsers, cleared my cache - still no access.

Hello @Zoom_User33,

If you are the account owner of a single user Zoom Workplace Pro account, you should be able to change all settings unless they are locked at the account level. To unlock and change these settings, make sure you are signed in as the account owner. Look for the lock icon next to the setting in the Zoom web portal—click it to unlock and make changes. Some settings require owner privileges to unlock.

If you are signed in as the owner and still cannot access or change settings, there may be a technical issue with your account permissions. In this case, try signing out and back in, and ensure you are not using a restricted browser or network.

If the issue persists, you may need to submit a support request to Zoom for further assistance.

@MGSR  good morning.

I am the owner of a single user Zoom Workplace Pro account and it shows that in the User Profile.

It doe not allow me Admin privileges to edit setting in my account.

I was able to do that some time ago and I do not know when this changed but no matter what I do it is still not allowing me in as Admin now.

I am unable to see an option to contact support within my dashboard.

The only option I can see it to chat with an AI agent who was unable to help me last night, hence my post here.

If you are the account owner of a single-user Zoom Workplace Pro account but cannot access admin settings or edit your account, here are some things to check:

  • Ensure you are signed in with the correct account that holds the owner role.
  • Some settings require specific privileges, even for owners. Check if your role or privileges have changed in the User Profile or Role Management section.
  • If you recently changed your email or account details, this could affect your access.
  • Try signing out and back in, or clear your browser cache and cookies.

If you still cannot access admin settings, it may require further troubleshooting. Since you mentioned you cannot see an option to contact support in your dashboard, you can submit a ticket at this link for additional help or to submit a request.

This has now been sorted by the Support Team.

If anyone else has this issue - the setting is in the web portal under ‘Account Settings’ and not the main ‘Settings’ option that I was trying to access.

In case this helps anyone I had the same issue but only some of my recordings had the share option greyed out - no apparent pattern for which ones, but it was only on the desktop app - the recordings were all shareable on the web portal. (On the web portal you can check what and how you share by clicking on ‘settings’ in the side bar then ‘recording’ on the main page then scroll down to ‘share’. To be honest this didn’t change anything for me but useful to check and update.)  The problem in my case was that the affected recordings had expired viewing dates on them - makes sense really but in the past i’ve been able to still click the share icon and update the expiry date.  I had to set all the recordings individually to have no expiry date (by accessing them on the portal) and now they are shareable on the app.  Hope that helps.
