Accessing live transcriptions after leaving a call

I was wondering if I can ask about access to live transcriptions after participants leave a call. In this case, I enabled live transcription and participants were allowed to download the transcripts.

 

  • Is it possible for participants to download transcripts after leaving the call, or can this only be done while they are in the call?
  • If it is possible to access the transcripts later, will participants have access to the transcripts for the whole call, or only the portion of the call to which they were connected? (For example, if they leave the call early, can they still access the transcripts for the remainder of the call?)

Hi @phamk 

Transcripts must be manually downloaded while the participants are still in the meeting. It is possible for the host to also save transcripts as part of the cloud recording (which would only transcribe the portion of the meeting recorded), which can then be shared after the meeting with those who did not manually save, but this is up to the discretion of the host.

    A prompt would really help, as one tends to get trigger happy to end a meeting after an hour or more.
    Is there any way of asking the host/participant "are you sure you want to leave without saving your transcript?" when they hit leave or end call?

      Hi @SeviSar There is currently no way to remind the host directly about this. You can certainly submit that as a feature request via the Zoom feedback form: https://zoom.us/feed
