accessing a VTT transcript

I pay for an account and I thought an audio transcript from a meeting was available as part of the deal.   However I can download the video and audio of my meeting but no sign of a VTT file with the transcript.  
Where can I find it please?

    the transcription for the cloud recordings needs to be enabled via settings.

    Thanks so much for your feedback  and link - glad to see someone saw my post! 

    However  the link and info  doesn’t help though as I don’t seem to have a button that I can toggle  for the Cloud Recording setting.  It tells me how much space I have to record in and I can see my actual video recording and sound recordings - but no sign of VTT transcript.  

    Can’t see the ‘Advanced cloud recording settings’ at all - so no ‘Create audio transcript’ check box.  

     

    Can you shed any light on this?   I am definitely a Pro user.

    Dear ​@Debbie19 ,

    In your settings (not your recordings page where you see your recordings), you should have a section to configure your cloud recordings.

    In order to navigate to that section you need to log into the web portal, then navigate to the entry “Settings” and then go to the tab “Recording”.

    This should look something like this:

    Really helpful - thank you.  However I don’t see anything like your screen shot when I look at Settings/Recording.  See my screen shot.  I did better when I logged in on the web and found ‘Save closed caption as a VTT file’  - which was checked.  So why can I not find the transcript!? Weird.  

    I tried doing a test recording and  this time it worked, I received the VTT transcript!  However I fear there isn’t anything to be found for my previous meeting sadly…
     

    I’d still like to know why I can’t see all the Cloud recording settings though!

    Dear ​@Debbie19 ,
    your screenshot is from the settings in the client. You will need to navigate to the web settings, where you will find the cloud recordings settings.

     

    One way to navigate there is, to click on “My account” in your screenshot.  Then you should see a button “View advanced features” and that should take you to the web settings.

    The setting to generate transcripts for cloud recordings will only be applied to new recordings. Currently it is unfortunately not possible to transcribe recordings for which transcriptions were not turned on.

    Hurrah! I’ve found the right place to look.  Seems very easy when you know how!  Have changed a bunch of setting  and I’m hopeful that I’ll get a VTT transcript from my next Zoom meeting.

    Hi,

    If audio transcription was enabled for the meeting, the transcript (VTT file) should usually appear in the same cloud recording folder as the video/audio files.

    Please try the following:

    1. Sign in to your account

    2. Go to Recordings / Meeting Recordings

    3. Open the meeting recording

    4. Look for files named “Audio Transcript”, “Transcript”, or a .VTT file

    If you still cannot see it, it may be because:

    • Audio transcription was not enabled before the meeting started

    • The transcript is still processing

    • Your current plan does not include cloud transcription features

    You may also want to check your recording settings to ensure “Audio transcript” is enabled for future meetings.

    Thanks Farah - I now know that audio transcription wasn’t enabled  before the meeting which was why I didn't receive any!  However having at last found the correct settings, I have enabled them for future meetings.  Fingers crossed it works.

     

    But thanks for your help.  Much h appreciated.
