Question

a lost meeting

Hi all. I have just held a meeting which was recorded. About halfway through one member lost his connection and so I stopped recording. When he was back I started it again and heard it say ‘recording in progress’. When he was finished and left we recorded an outro to the meeting however these last few minutes seem to be the only part that has saved when it was converted at the end. Looking at the meeting schedule on the zoom app on the computer the timings show the complete meeting but most of the recording seems lost. Is there a way to try and find the original part at all?

Hello @Mat Ireland, Thank you for using the Zoom Community to seek support!

The missing portion may still be recoverable. If you recorded locally, check Zoom Settings > Recording > Open and look for other segments or unconverted .zoom files in the recording folder. Try double-clicking any unconverted files to convert them.

If you recorded to the cloud, check Recordings & Transcripts > Cloud Recordings in the Zoom web portal for additional files, and allow time for processing.

Since you stopped and restarted the recording, the earlier portion may have been saved as a separate file.

Could you confirm whether you recorded locally or in the cloud? We can narrow down the next steps from there.
