Zoom Marketplace App Migration Between Accounts

Hello Zoom Team,

I wanted to check whether a Zoom Marketplace app can be transferred from one Zoom account to another.

Could you please confirm if this is supported and share the recommended approach for handling such a migration?

Also, please let me know if there are any prerequisites or important considerations during the process.

    Hi Antim,

    A Zoom Marketplace app can only be transferred to another user within the same Zoom account. Transferring an app directly between different Zoom accounts isn't supported.

    If you're moving an app to a different Zoom account, the recommended approach is:

    1. Create a new Marketplace app in the destination Zoom account.
    2. Recreate the app configuration, including scopes, credentials, and settings.
    3. Update your integration to use the new app's credentials and OAuth configuration (if applicable).
    4. Test the new app before switching production traffic.

    Keep in mind:

    • App ownership can only be transferred between users within the same Zoom account.
    • Cross-account app transfers aren't supported, so a new app must be created in the destination account.
