Hi!  I recorded my meeting but I can’t find the recording on my mac nor the (where it should be) although I also checked the cloud and it’s not there.  My “double_click_to_convert” file is also not there.  The zoom workplace version is : 6.7.7 (76486) Help!  Thank you!

    Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble finding your recording! Let's work through this step by step.

**First, let's confirm which type of recording was used:**

When you hit Record during the meeting, Zoom gives you two options:
    • Record on this Computer (local recording)
    • Record to the Cloud (cloud recording)

The steps to find your file depend on which one was selected.

**If it was a Local Recording:**

    1. Open the Zoom desktop app on your Mac.
    2. Go to Meetings → Recorded tab (on older versions) or Home → Recordings (on newer versions).
    3. You should see the meeting listed there with an "Open" button that takes you directly to the file location.

By default, local recordings are saved to:
    /Users/[YourUsername]/Documents/Zoom

You can also check your current save path by going to:
Zoom App → Settings (⚙️) → Recording → look for "Store my recordings at:" — that will show you the exact folder.

If the folder exists but is empty, it's possible the recording didn't finish converting. Zoom converts the raw file to MP4 after the meeting ends — if the app was closed or crashed before conversion completed, you may find partial files (like .zoom files or double_click_to_convert files) in that folder. If so, double-click them to retry conversion.

**If it was a Cloud Recording:**

    1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal (zoom.us/signin).
    2. Go to Recordings → Cloud Recordings.
    3. Check the date range — make sure it covers the date of your meeting.

A few reasons cloud recordings might not appear:
    • Processing delay — cloud recordings can take a while to process, sometimes up to 24 hours depending on the length of the meeting.
    • Account type — cloud recording requires a licensed (Pro/Business/Enterprise) account. If you're on a free plan, cloud recording isn't available even if you saw the option.
    • Admin settings — your Zoom admin may have disabled cloud recording, or recordings may be set to auto-delete after a certain period.

**If you still can't find it:**

    • Check your email — Zoom typically sends an email notification when a cloud recording is ready, with a direct link.
    • Check Trash — on the Zoom web portal under Recordings, there's a Trash folder. Recordings deleted within the last 30 days will be there.
    • Ask your Zoom admin — if your account is managed by an organization, the admin can check whether the recording exists at the account level.

Let me know what you find and I'm happy to help further!

    Hi,

I did all the above but nothing showed up and I’m the admin.  The do have a meeting summary but no recording or files related to that meeting

Hi @Aryamaan Jhunjhunwala Would you be able to check to see if I had a meeting on April 26th and whether that has been recorded on your end?  When I go into Meetings (previous) and Recordings & Transcripts, the meeting on April 26th does not show up in either the cloud or computer recording (I recorded on the computer) and the participant also saw that it was being recorded.
