Linux: ./zoom_amd64.deb returns `Unsupported file ./zoom_amd64.deb given on command line`

`sudo apt install ./zoom_amd64.deb` 

And the result is
`Unsupported file ./zoom_amd64.deb given on commandline

Thank you for your help. No clue why Zoom doesn't have a 'technical support' community group.
