Question

Is it possible to create a single meeting in a multiday conference that is open to people not registered for the conference?

I am using Zoom Events to host a multiday conference for an association (attendees will be pre registered). For one hour during the last day we will have a business meeting that is open to all association members including those not registered for the conference.

Is it possible to create one Meeting that is open to anyone with the link? And if so, how does one find the unique link to the meeting?

Ideally attendees could enter via the lobby and non-attendees would enter the meeting directly.

My back-up plan is to create a Zoom Meeting outside the event which would require attendees to leave the virtual conference space and then return to it after the business meeting.

thank you

Sally

    Hi, Sally,

If you have a multi-day, multi-session conference and want someone to only have access to a specific session, the only way to do this is to have them register for a specific ticket type which is restricted to just the one session.  There might be some technique that could avoid them having to register, but ultimately they would have to access a ticket type that has only the one session available to it.

Assuming you do not want anyone who is not a member to attend, I’d highly suggest requiring everyone who will attend the business meeting to register.

Reach out to me if you’d like some help setting up ticket types and a non-trivial registration setup.

    Hi Ray

    Thank you for responding.

We ended up creating a meeting outside the event. We included it in the schedule to promote it but shared the link with members via email.

The group is not organized enough to pre-register for the business meeting so we had to keep access simple. 😊

Thanks again for taking the time to respond.
