How Do You Manage Short-Form Videos You Want to Revisit Later?

With online meetings, webinars, training sessions, and virtual events becoming such a normal part of everyday work, I’ve noticed that video content is becoming harder to keep organized.

Sometimes I come across a short video that explains a useful software feature, demonstrates a workflow, gives a quick tutorial, or provides an idea that could be useful during a future meeting or presentation. The problem is that saving these references can quickly become messy. After a while, the browser bookmarks, Downloads folder, and cloud storage can contain hundreds of unrelated files and links.

I’ve been trying to create a simpler system for managing this type of content. Instead of saving everything, I separate useful videos into a few categories such as:

  • Meeting and presentation tips

  • Software tutorials

  • Training resources

  • Productivity ideas

  • Presentation and communication examples

  • Technical demonstrations

For publicly available short-form videos that I want to keep for personal reference, I recently came across Snaptikk as a browser-based option for saving video references. What I find more interesting than the particular tool is the overall workflow: deciding what is actually worth keeping, organizing it properly, and removing things that are no longer useful.

This also makes me wonder how other Zoom users handle video references. Do you mainly keep the original links bookmarked, or do you save copies locally? If you save files, do you organize them by project, topic, or date?

I’m also curious about how people manage storage when video files start accumulating. Cloud storage is convenient, but large collections can become difficult to search. Local storage gives quick access but can eventually take up significant disk space.

For anyone who regularly attends or hosts Zoom meetings, webinars, or online training, what system works best for you?

Do you keep a dedicated folder for useful videos, use cloud storage, maintain browser bookmarks, or simply save links in a notes application?

I’d be interested to hear what organization method has worked well for others, especially for videos that you may need several weeks or months after first finding them.
