Students unable to hear Bell I ring at end of meditation .. just my voice comes through.

The micro phone will not pick up the sound of the bell at end of meditations I guide for my students in my online class room. It will only pick up my voice.  My voice is loud and clear but no other sound.  Need advice how to get both across.   Thank you!   KW

Does turning on "Original sound for musicians" in the Audio section of your Zoom client preferences help?

We were also using a Tibetan bell to start and end our meditations.  It was at first clunking; then we were able to get a better sound with original sound on; now it is not picking up the sound of bell or chimes at all even with original sound on or beta for musicians setting on.  How do we contact Zoom technical support for their assistance?  In the past, I was able to send Zoom an email.  I am not able to find that option now.  Thanks for any help you can offer.

Go to https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/contact?id=contact_us and scroll down to the "Still need help?" section and click the "Submit a ticket" button.

Sorry, I didn't get response from Zoom either. But bells are now being heard with original sound on. I don't know what the beta setting is that you mentioned.

I'm having the bell not being heard in gatherings but the original sound option is not working.   Any other ideas?

I have this same problem. It's so frustrating. I've heard others' bells. Not sure how they are doing it.

Definitely Original Sound needs to be turned On and I have to check Zoom settings if I change between laptop sound and ear buds.

But that wasn't the issue for the longest time. Suddenly it stopped working. I think it wa do to a Windows update, but not sure.

I solved it, but not positive this was the solution, but I think so. I tried so many things for so long...with no help from Zoom.

Anyway, I found that although I had the settings correct in Zoom, my laptop settings were wrong. I went to Settings/Sound/

Then under Advanced: /AllSoundDevices

Then under each Device: Advanced Enhancements: set to "OFF"

I had to do this to each device I use (laptop microphone, ear buds, etc).

Now it works. But if I change devices, I need to check and make sure the Original Sound didn't get turned off.
