How to require zoom clip viewers to enter an email or name before viewing clip?

Is there a way to require users to insert their name and email before viewing a zoom clip? Or requiring them to log into zoom before viewing? Right now all the viewers are appearing as "Guest User." This would help me monitor who is viewing my zoom clip and who is completing the recording. Thank you!

There are two ways to prevent viewers from appearing as "Guest User" and track who is watching your Zoom clip.

Option 1 – Require Registration (Best for tracking external viewers) You can enable a registration requirement so viewers must enter their name and email before watching. To set this up, go to the Zoom web portal → Recordings & Transcripts → open the recording → click Share → open Share Settings → enable "Viewers need to register to watch". Once enabled, Zoom collects each viewer's name and email, and you can even add custom registration fields, set manual or automatic approval, and receive email notifications when someone registers.

Option 2 – Require Zoom Authentication If you prefer viewers to sign in with a Zoom account before watching, you can enable authentication on the recording. This can also be restricted to specific email domains (e.g., only users), making it ideal for internal sharing.

The reason viewers currently show as "Guest User" is because the recording is shared via a public link with no registration or authentication requirement — Zoom has no way to identify anonymous viewers in that case.

For anyone who needs to know exactly who watched a recording, enabling either of these settings is the way to go. Hope this helps!
