Check for Updates Missing (windows 11 PC)

Dear Team,

I am getting no help in resolveing the issue mentions in the subject heading. I have been making endless enquiries without success.

As a paying member using Zoom professionally, I would expect better so kindly help me fix this or fix it from your end. Thank you.

I have the same issue, and found another thread that had a link to an article for "Troubleshooting missing Check for Updates option":

It basically gives steps to uninstall zoom and reinstall it (you first need to check whether you have the MSI or EXE version). I haven't tried the suggestion yet, but I hope that it's helpful.

Wrong. The linked article suggests uninstalling Zoom, then downloading the newest version and reinstalling. I followed these suggested steps but the downloaded EXE installer did not install the latest version (shown on the downloads page as 6.5.5 (8927). Instead it installed the same version that I had uninstalled - 6.1.1 (41705) - and the "Check for updates" option is still missing.
