Zoom is a money-hungry

Zoom is a lier. They write about cooling-off period in their terms, but every time I ask them about this. They never answer me about this. They always close my ticket without helping me. If they don't have an intention to have cooling-off period, Why do they write12.9 in their term?

-Does anyone have experience in fighting with zoom in the court?

-They set me as a low priority customer and I want to fight for my stolen money.

12.9 Withdrawal; Cooling-Off Period. If under applicable Law you have a time period to terminate your Services based on a right of withdrawal, or a cooling-off period, you may request to terminate the affected Services in accordance with applicable Law and, if applicable, receive a pro rata refund of any prepaid and unused Charges. If the Services begin before any withdrawal or cooling-off period, or you fail to terminate your Services during the right of withdrawal or cooling-off period, then you acknowledge that you lose any termination rights under this Section 12.9. Nothing in this Section 12.9 is intended to limit or exclude any of your rights that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable Law.

    Hi @Katetip,

Thank you for visiting the Zoom Community for additional support. We have reviewed both this post and your billing ticket, and have flagged to our internal team. We appreciate your patience while they review.

    Hi @Katetip,

I’m sorry to hear that your question about Zoom’s TOS section 12.9 was not addressed. It begins “If under applicable Law...”. This means if you live in a country with such a law in place. Example:

    • European Union: Provides a 14‑day cooling‑off period for distance and off‑premises contracts, allowing consumers to withdraw without reason 1.

Because you do not live in the EU or UK, section 12.2 applies. This information is also presented at the time of initial checkout upon purchasing the subscription.

12.2 Non-Cancelable and Non-Refundable Charges. You agree that all payments are non-cancelable for the Initial Subscription Term or the then-current Renewal Term, as applicable, and are final and non-refundable, unless otherwise agreed to by Zoom, required by Law, or set forth in your Order Form.

    Kind regards,
    ~S

Japan also have cooling off period for 8-20days, but every time I request about this, the staff didn't answer it. I don't think that they don't know about this in Japan.
