Nobody home at Zoom

I had to use a second account to post an account of my problem because you cannot post in this forum about a problem until after you’ve logged in, and I cannot log in under my primary account!

Because I had not logged in from my new computer yet, Zoom emailed me a verification code to my email address on file. I never received it.

There does not seem to be any backup system in case you don’t receive your verification code at the original email address you provide. I am not happy because I set up a meeting using my “recurring meeting code” and I am not there to host it. This is not good for business.

I want to set up a new email address to send the verification code, because the old one does not seem to work. It is my business and I  have control over all email addresses and something must have happened when we changed our hosting service.

Google, Yahoo, Dropbox, all have alternative methods to sign in if you cannot receive the verification code at the original email address. But not Zoom.  Nor does Zoom have a customer service number to call.  Any ideas? TYIA

    hi @Bob Gasparro ,

sorry you had problems. You dont have to use the same login for the community. it is a seprate system, but can share the login for your main account.

Some people can find Zoom notification codes appear in their spam folder.

There are alternate ways. If I connect on a new PC, Zoom will send a message to another deivce logged in asking me to confirm.

Email addresses are key to Zoom becuase that is what they attach a licence to.

Are you locked out of your account completely? - I can give you many ways you can login to zoom, but your main issue is to login?

I would start zoom.us,  put in my email account.
    Click on lost password
Make use of the resend code

I use Microsoft Outlook and try as I might the zoom email never makes it to my main inbox, I have to check the “other” option.
If you can then add  no-reply@zoom.us to your contacts list, to make it more obvious to your email provider that you want to see these.

So, after you receover, my advice is keep a phone or tablet logged into zoom. You may not use it for zoom calls, but it will have the diary (it you connect) and an easy way to check on things within Zoom.
