Cannot change account back to basic - locked out

I have another account that I use for work. When setting it up, I accidentally chose to have it be an educator's account. I am locked out of the account and cannot do anything until it is verified, but there is no way to verify it. I need to find a way to log into the account so that I can delete it. I'm stuck in a loop.
