All My Notes completely disappeared — Pro subscriber — urgent data loss

Hello,

I am a Zoom Pro subscriber and I have lost ALL the content of my Notes completely.

Here is my situation:

  • I can still see the titles of my notes, but all the content/transcriptions inside have completely disappeared
  • I had many notes linked to past meetings that I had not yet processed
  • The Trash is empty — nothing to restore
  • I have only one single Zoom account
  • I did not delete anything manually

This is a serious data loss for me professionally. These notes contained important information from client meetings that I cannot recover any other way.

I have already tried:

  • Checking the Trash tab → empty
  • Checking account settings for Notes feature → enabled
  • Logging out and back in

I need urgent escalation to a technical team for server-side investigation and potential data recovery.

Can a Zoom employee or moderator please help escalate this case?

Thank you.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this. Losing meeting notes and transcripts without any action on your part is understandably alarming, especially when they contain important client information.

Since you've already checked the Trash, confirmed that Notes is enabled, and verified that you're using the correct account, this sounds like something that may require investigation from Zoom's technical team. Community members can offer suggestions, but only Zoom Support can access account-level data and determine whether the content still exists on the backend.

If you haven't already, I'd recommend opening a support ticket and including details such as the approximate date you noticed the issue, examples of affected notes, and any recent account or settings changes. The more information you provide, the easier it will be for the team to investigate.

I hope a Zoom moderator can help escalate this for you quickly. Please keep us updated on any findings, as others may benefit from the information as well.

Thank you for your response and your empathy.

I have already tried multiple times to contact Zoom Support, but every single time I end up facing an AI bot that doesn't understand my issue and keeps asking me the same repetitive questions. I cannot reach a real human technician.

Phone support is not available in my country (Belgium), and when I try the phone option it is also an automated voice system — again an AI, not a human.

I am completely stuck. I cannot get through to anyone who can actually investigate this at the server level.

The titles of my notes are still visible, which suggests the data may still exist on Zoom's servers — just the content has disappeared. This gives me hope that a technical team could recover it, but I need a real human to escalate this internally.

Is there any Zoom employee or moderator reading this who could open a ticket on my behalf or escalate directly to the technical team? This is important professional data from client meetings that I cannot recover any other way.

    Thank you.

Happens to me too quite often, despite recording during meeting, no error shows up, notes just disappear

Commenting in hopes that a Zoom moderator can escalate this issue. Same thing has happened to me and I went through the same AI bot support loop you described. I’ve been using My Notes with AI Companion for over a month and have found the transcripts very useful in cases where I want to review the discussion. All of a sudden, they disappeared around June 12th or 13th. Even meetings that I know had transcripts now show “No transcript”. This has to be a bug.
